McCain's Brain!

ADDED: "Nope, too slow. Touch her." Wow, I hadn't noticed that McCain refused Obama's offer of a handshake. AND: Oh, that must have been the moment when Brokaw yelled at them for blocking the monitor. Of course, none of the humor in this video is fair. It's just really funny.

Ugh... it's loading too slow.

When didn't McCain shake hands? I thought that they were all set to do the nice afterward but they stood in front of the teleprompter and the moment was lost.

So... later?

That was funny!

As for the handshake non-scandal, check Byron York's take.

Well, they did cast roses together at the 9/11 site, that's enough in light of the mud both are slinging - this kissy kissy stuff doesn't really have a place when big bucks are at play

With regard to the "did McCain shake Obama's hand", Josh Marshall and Sullivan (and probably others) looked at the clip that is included in this and said "Can you believe McCain didn't shake his hand?" Then, in pretty short order, concluded that the handshake had occurred earlier when they blocked Brokaw's teleprompter.

I'm certain I saw a vigorous handshake somewhere after the debate.

The video is in the style that middle school boys find hilarious. I'm depressed that this evidences the mental age of the average Obama supporter. Sorry, mcg.

It was also pretty weird that McCain bolted right after the thing was over. CSPAN kept their cameras on and showed Obama and Michelle hanging around and chatting with voters for over 20 minutes, took a bunch of photos with them, shook hands, etc. Everyone seemed really happy, lots of smiles.

Because "meet my wife" is soooo hostile. Heh.

(Actually... it would be really interesting to see either candidates notes. What did they write?)

Limbaugh has a two step plan: we have to drag Senator McCain over the finish line.

We have to save the country from Obama, and then save the country from McCain later.

And here we go back to the childish stuff...Where did the adults on the left go?

LOL, on Rush's plan. Too, true and funny because of it.

(Thinks wistfully of Giuliani making a Palin VP choice to appease social conservatives... *sigh*.)

How'd the get Tom Waitts to narrate "McCain's Brain"?

Synova, I was just sitting here, listening to Ann's blogging heads and fantasizing about a Guiliani/Palin ticket.

Synova said...

Guiliani, of course, had the problem of an impossible to spell name. :-)

Yeah, concentrate on obama/mccain interaction and ignore the fact that Michelle blew Cindy off.

I was furious.

They did not. McCain laid roses, Obama threw them down.

That's Sarah's job.

I find it easier to spell tough names when I pronounce them phonetically.

Saying "Gee - ul - ee - ahn - ee" in my head helps me spell Giuliani correctly.

Peter Hoh said...

Syl, is it possible, as was the case with John and Barack, that Michelle and Cindy had earlier shaken hands?

Here's video of the handshake that supposedly never happened: (youtube link)
