This image reflects what will happen to the GOP - they will go to pastures for finding new leadership.

We have won already: House (224+) and Senate (54+).

We want Palin to run in 2012. This will ensure our re-election easily. And, I will be rich.

Yes, this is my time, from now to Nov. 2012, I will be in big demand.

AP's consultancy offers the "Franken Trunkload", 5000 pre-marked ballots, just right for the back of a Prius.

I have good reasons to keep my spirits up.. beyond the firmament.

To my great insondable relief the State of NJ saw fit not to lock me up for my admitted transgressions.

I will be paying fines and doing community service.. (posting here doesn't count ;).. which of course I gladly preferably accepted.

forgive me if i'm a little exuberant..

Did you ever notice that natural vegetation seems so much more well behaved in fall than in summer?

Finishing up corn harvest today of this spring planting.

(I think YouTube will improve the video quality after it ages a little)

Now that you mention it, America really hasn't improved that much in 30 years: it's still got Jimmy Carter in it.

rhhardin,

You mean you didn't scythe it for them?

We are in the funny time when the AC is off at home and we haven't needed to turn the furnace on yet. Let it, let it be, ...whisper words of wisdom, let it be. But when does Day Light Savings time release us to sleep an hour more?

Suggested Embellishment:*

The SI unit of premarked ballots is called a Franken, symbolized as Fr.

Suggested usage: "Yo, Eddie, gimme tree frankens ah ballots for next Tuesday to cover wards 28 and 30."
_____________
*Embellishment is noted in the interest of avoiding controversy with Garage Mahal.

Not that dour an image, Madame. The muted greens and browns have a charm all their own.

PS Titus, I thought you were putting AP to sleep.

An image of a beautiful day. Much preferable to sunshine and warm temperatures.

You could help keep my spirits up by buying a drawing or print, then the slightly imperfect angels would smile, mysteriously, upon you!

Today is a day to relish, another of God's handiwork, a day we'll forget about tomorrow as we gaze on the wonderfulness of that day.

Relish each day for itself as it might be our last!

Cheers.

Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's Latino liason participated in a sham marriage to a Lebanese terrorist - and then repeatedly lied to the FBI about it.

Breaking only at Fox News of course (even though ABC and NBC have the story only Fox is actually reporting it)..

It's not that the hate us ... they're just on the other side.

Yes, everyone should buy a work or two, or three, from Palladian. I did.

Are we all informed and clear on what the Federal Reserve Bank is doing lately?

They are starting the process of inflating our way out of the deficit and stalled economy.

A little thing we call quantitative easing, or in other words printing money.

The very thing banana republics used to do to keep the peasants happy and the rulers rich, has now become a key policy of this administration and its fed enablers.

Well a person can work up a mean mean thirst
after a hard day of nothin' much at all
Summer's passed, it's too late to cut the grass
There ain't much to rake anyway in the fall

And sometimes I just ain't in the mood
to take my place in back with the loudmouths
You're like a picture on the fridge that's never stocked with food
I used to live at home, now I stay at the house

And everybody wants to be special here
They call your name out loud and clear
Here comes a regular
Call out your name
Here comes a regular
Am I the only one here today?

Well a drinkin' buddy that's bound to another town
Once the police made you go away
And even if you're in the arms of someone's baby now
I'll take a great big whiskey to ya anyway

Everybody wants to be someone's here
Someone's gonna show up, never fear
'cause here comes a regular
Call out your name
Here comes a regular
Am I the only one who feels ashamed?

Kneeling alongside old Sad Eyes
He says opportunity knocks once then the door slams shut
All I know is I'm sick of everything that my money can buy
The fool who wastes his life, God rest his guts

First the lights, then the collar goes up, and the wind begins to blow
Turn your back on a pay-you-back, last call
First the glass, then the leaves that pass, then comes the snow
Ain't much to rake anyway in the fall

Heaped in the hollows of the grove, the autumn leaves lie dead;
They rustle to the eddying gust, and to the rabbit's tread;
The robin and the wren are flown, and from the shrubs the jay,
And from the wood-top calls the crow through all the gloomy day.

I take we're looking at Wednesday here in NE OH.

Just got an email from friends in central Ohio that they are expecting 75 mph winds between 2 and 6 pm tomorrow. They also mentioned that it is eerily quiet there right now as if waiting for winds to hit. The last time they were without power for a week.
