Bill Clinton on arming Libyan rebels: "“I might need to know a little more, I would be inclined to do it."

That's nicely hedged. Know a little more. But inclined to do it. Is he saying more than I don't know? I don't know.

So he doesn't instinctively set aside his doubts and trust Obama, like Kevin Drum does?

Another wise insight from Mr. Feckless.

I don't remember the poll numbers, when Bill Clinton went after Milosevic in Bosnia. But it was "after" the Monica story broke.

I don't think it helped his poll numbers much. But this may be a similar ploy on the part of Obama? Still stuck in Dubya's wars. And, he's not going to go and touch a hair on Assad's head! (Israel doesn't. Pretty sure that if Assad goes, it gets worse with sunni/saudi/Al-Kay-Duh taking over.

So far the saud's suck in this casino!

As to CATNIP, it wasn't. Obama's numbers aren't going up.

I guess the democraps are just waiting for the republicans (who tend to rubber stamp the democraps in Congress) ... to go and do something really stupid when nominating their next "great hope?"

Obama runs on a field that stays stuck at 50/50.

Now, I do remember Nixon's 1972 BLOW OUT! McGovern got 40% and Nixon got 60%. And, then we got Watergate. Gerald Ford's "in" ... instead of Nelson Rockefeller. And, Gerald Ford's pardon to Nixon. And, his stupid run in 1976. Man, Ford was angry at Reagan!

Gold shows up on the RNC plate, and what do they do? They have the elder Bush advising to cast Reagan off ... And, har, har, har, he's gonna be 70 in 1980.

American politics ain't for the feint of heart.

As far as arming the rebels, they lost me at "former Guantanamo inmate".

There's actual slaughtering of non-combatants going on in the Ivory Coast. When do you suppose our Air Force will be bombing them? Doesn't our President care about black people?

Isn't the Ivory Coast second or third in the world for coffee production? I suppose there's our vested interest...

Bill never saw action he didn't want a piece of.

Except 'Nam.

Just sayin'.

Clinton's words were "I'd be inclined to do it", but he's really saying, "Go ahead and kick that hornet's nest a little harder, Barack, it's OK. I'd like to get back to the Whitehouse with Hillary! for an extended stay sooner rather than later anyway.

Even Bill is now into nuance, doubt and unknown that eternally flusters any action that he might conside. So Bill is also for just keeping a balanced stalemate that keeps a state of war going and never allowing it to be ended by ether side winning.

Note to Obama: Now that's how you prevaricate.

Billy makes everyone else look like a piker.

Billy Jeff is trying to triangulate, as usual.

We armed the Afghans in the 1980's ... and look how well that's turned out. Have we been there as long as the Soviets yet? They love us, right?

"A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee." - Bill Clinton

"He can be the Chief Executor of good intentions as President." - Bill Clinton

I think those quotes explain BillyJeff's complete contempt for Obama's capabilities.

What's wrong with the answer? Is Hillary feeding him intel on the topic?
If she is, then she is a security risk. If she isn't, Bill gave the right answer.
Note - I'm not a Clinton fan.

I'm sure that Bill would want to first 'consult' with Samantha Power.

If he can get Cass Sunstein out of the way, that is.

But if you were Powers, who would you prefer? Bill Clinton, or nerdy, messy-office, intellectual Cass?

It's like a choice between Jeff Bridges and Woody Allen.

Translation: It means he is less into it than Hillary but wants to not piss her off.

The guy is good. No matter which way it goes, he can claim he was right.

The final verdict will depend on whether Gaddhafi is still there or not. Somebody on a Sunday show said he might be "the mayor of Tripoli." I don't think these lefties are ruthless enough to take him out. They are all afraid of fingerprints. They'll smack down their own people, of course, but a guy like Gaddhafi will call their bluff. They are hoping for more defections from his inner circle, he'll run out of money, blah, blah.

This is the guy who gave us Mogadishu and Waco, remember.

And never forget the line from "Starr I Are",

The people are easy to distract,
When bombs are falling on Iraq

No, it explains, once again, that America's first black President was just another Orval Faubus.

Southern Yemeni province declared "Islamic Emirate" by al Qaida

Obama says Yemen President, US ally, must go.

Muslim Brotherhood muscle student groups out of the political process, say it is Egypt's islamic duty to put them in power before the September election.

Call for scraping peace accord with Israel, and the establishment of a Saudi style "modesty police".

Muslims slaughter 1,000 Christians in the streets of the Ivory Coast...Senate call for hearings of Florida pastor.

.....So, you ask how I think Libya is going to shake out?

This is why I could never vote for Hillary.

Bill doesn't understand boundaries.

Or put more succinctly,
He can't shut up

He is the Newt Gingrich of the Left.

My prediction: at the end of the day Mr Q will still be in power, and the islamacists will know that the west doesnt have the balls to do anything except triangulate and pontificate.

As someone observed, when you strike at the king you best be sure you kill him.

So the big foreign policy/terrorism disaster Khadaffy will contract will happen just in time to give Little Zero a chance to explain how it was all Dubya's fault.

"Is he saying more than I don't know?"

Yes, he is.

He's saying he doesn't know if he'd be arming al Queda, but he'd be inclined to do it anyway.

He's saying he'd be inclined to do something without having any facts.

He's saying he's the fucking moron we always believed he was.

I wish he'd toddle off and go get a blowjob and quit trying to convince us he should still be president.

The Crack Emcee said...

Yeah, he's saying he'd do it.

And he'd be wrong.

Did he get more info when he got involved in Bosnia, Serbia, Kosovo? And we are still there.
