The arts is the most bitterly exploitive, deceptive and underhanded business in existence. Behavior that would land you in jail in any other biz is just shrugged off in show biz.

That's why all those artists spend so much time lecturing us on how to take care of our business.

An eight year old wouldn't think of this stuff.

A lot of this is the parents, pushing the kids. Consider Macauley Culkin and Lindsay Lohan as examples.

Speaking of business, I am waiting to see Althouse's discussion of the New Walker Order's attack on UW broadband service which will costs us millions in lost grants high speed access to rural Wisconsin-- oh wait AT&tT has plans for that.

What is a former orphan? Someone whose parent has un-died?

Aaah. Never Mind. (nvm, as my kids would say).

An actress who formerly played an orphan in Annie.

They should kill their mothers. This would serve two useful purposes: They would have a sense memory of orphanhood, and they would kill their mothers.

Orphans are often entertainers that dream of being in a family. As Christians we are under orders to care for orphans that need a family.
