"We are pleased that the deal struck by lawmakers..."

Here's the report in the State Journal.

She can speak that bureaucrat speak as well as anyone that I have heard. Doesn't that sometimes happen to regular folks who get dental work done under anesthesia? I would hate to wake up and be stuck speaking that language.

I scanned the key sentences looking for what it said and found only boilerplate.

Nobody gives a shit if she's pleased.

Anytime a politician says they are pleased, I assume they are not.

What did she say?

Wow. She beats the passive voice and third-person like a drum to distance herself from the results of her very personal adventure in legislative deal-making...

I take it this means she has to get in bed with Scott Walker, after all.

Maybe she'd feel better if Titus made it a threesome.

Nice calm letter from a woman who sounds like she has a plan.

But:

"The plan proposes that base tuition increases be capped at 5.5 percent for the next two years, plus differentials that are already in place, including the Madison Initiative for Undergraduates."

Tuition still rising faster than cost of living, even when "capped."

(And is that 5.5% total, or per year?)
