Everyone: It was at the K-street super-consultant happy hour that the plan to provide stimulus for students was hatched over many shots of whiskey. I was there. Remember what I told you; you have not seen anything yet. This thing is going to come drip, drip, drip.

The assumed GOP nominee Perry is going to be sacked, intercepted, and forced to fumble.

The "Committee to Re-Elect the POTUS Obama" of which I am the key organizer is totally (over 200%) dedicated to wipe out the GOP. We will use everything: Occupy Wall Street, Recall elections (such as Scott Walker in WI), student stimulus, trade with China, etc. etc.

We will stop at nothing. We will do anything and everything.

Perry will look like a bumpkin, which he, of course, is one.

This election will be the best. Hang to your seat belts. This is the ride of your life. This is the election you have been waiting for - the total and complete defeat of the assumed GOP nominee Perry everywhere.

America's Politico...Your K Street insider friends must be shaking in their boots at the prospect of the coming Cainsian Economics.

My suggestion for them is mass suicide.

Drudge: A Texas medical facility is being accused of pressuring a paralyzed illegal immigrant to return to Mexico.

So, what's the problem?

A man was arrested offering brains for sale and transplant.
He was charging 75,000 for a Christian fundamentalist one, 175,000 for a regular Republican one, 150,000 for an Independents brain, and a staggering 450,000 for a progressive liberals brain.

Curious, the DA's attorney asked why the price difference.
"Easy. The Republican and the Independent brain were used well, while the fundamentalist brain was not used very well at all"
The attorney said then the brains merchant clearly found the progressive's brain the best.
"No, the price on that brain is very high because it was never used."

Is law school now teaching that wave a protest banner during a robbery exempts the robber from prosecution of the law because they were protesting the wealth of the victim.

If there are no consequences for the occupy protesters for breaking various laws, any and all laws will soon become null and void.

Does this mean we head into to a state of chaos. A country of no laws.

Is this the agenda of the occupy protesters to tear down the laws of the country, for a precedent is being set for the lack of law enforcement. Carry a protest banner and get away with breaking the law.

A country that does not abide by its laws can become very ugly.

Glow indeed, Madame; it almost jumps off the screen.

Quite evocative - even the voyageurs would have smiled.

The violence in Oakland is just what the leftist want. A martyr to galvanize the loonie left like back in the 60's. I say good... its time, lets get it on. If they want martyrs give 'em martyrs.

I am sick and tired of these useless pieces of shit ruining this once great country. They produce nothing but more pewling kids, and filth.

I really think the Mayor over reacted though. He should have let them stew in their own shit till the diseases, and overdoses started.

I am tired of the government having to step in to save stupid people...if you go hiking along the Iraq/Iran border, and you get captured as spies? Well maybe the next dummy will be smarter.

If you are told to evacuate the city because of the hurricane, and you don't? The IQ of the world just went up a few points.

If you go the fuck mountain climbing and you fall and break your whatever, and we have to send a helicopter to save your ass? Then you pay the goddamn bill. And if you can't, then we'll put your ass right back on the mountain.

The reason these OWS people are so stupid is because stupid has no consequence to them. It used to be an automatic death sentence.

And another thing! The American government is now allowing mexican trucks onto the US highway system. There's a few things wrong with this.

1) This takes away from AMERICAN jobs! You know the whole 9-10 percent not working (but its closer to 20). And trucking jobs are good jobs. Middle income jobs. And personally, I am an unemployed trucker!

2) The mexican trucks are not up to standard as american trucks, so the US government is paying to upgrade them! Now you lefties think real hard now... how much taxpayer money are we spending on the american trucks? Thats right children.. zero! because apparently mexicans can't afford, or are too stupid to pay for the upgrades that the american truckers have to pay for out of their own wallet! (sorta like doing the jobs americans won't do, but in reverse)

3) there's gonna be blood on the highways cause the truckers aren't going to stand for this. Hell, I had my brakelines cut for parking badly (just starting out, it was a good lesson. never parked badly again)

So to every democrat that supported/supports Obama, and his band of Marxist thugs, fuck you!

Hold on to your hats, people, we have a new presidential candidate in the race: Terry "Koran-burner" Jones!

As I noted there:

I didn't think it could happen, but we might have found a candidate who violates the "syphilitic camel" principle (as in, "I would vote for anyone, including a syphilitic camel*, over Barack Obama.").

* - Assuming that the syphilitic camel was native-born and at least 35 years of age.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Insty has a terrifying link: These are the good ole days

"So, in order to prevent the debt situation from expanding, and depending upon which economist you trust concerning the multiplier effect, federal spending must be reduced to somewhere between $2,085 trillion on the high end and $1.344 trillion on the low end. And here are the current big-ticket items:

$761 billion - Social Security
$468 billion - Medicare
$269 billion - Medicaid
$598 billion - Unemployment/Welfare
$679 billion - Department of Defense + Foreign Wars

So, this is why the Tea Party and the Republican Party cannot possibly salvage the situation They're not proposing the end of ANY of these major programs even though the nation can only afford to keep two of them, three in the unlikely event that both Defense and Social Security are entirely junked. Since that's not going to happen, given the way in which the incompetence of politicians presently inhabiting Washington aren't willing to even consider such drastic action, the financial collapse of the US federal government is assured"

Fen,

Our problems are so vast, so numerous, and have been going on for so long, I can't imagine anyone being able to fix this mess.

Fen said...

Yup. And I'm afraid the Despair will paralyze us.

43%. Thats the amount we need to cut. And we can't get 1% without causing riots in the streets.

Keep your powder dry Allen. You're welcome in my camp any day.

AllenS said...

And to compound the problem, Fen, it's happening all around the world. This is not going to be a happy ending. I wonder if I'll live long enough to see the beginning of the end, or the end of the beginning.

Professor- consider doing a post where you ask your readers why your commenters, on average, are conservatives?

I'm wondering what happens when China's bubble bursts. They're holding our debt and (I think) just picked up alot of Euro debt.

@ Ann - It would be an interesting post to explore what exactly happens when the federal government runs out of money to spend/borrow.

Unfortunately, Fen, they still have the ability to print the stuff.

Fen/ Allen:
The fed budget has to be approached like a business has some solid fundmentals but needs to lose a few unprofitable divisions [our current entitlements including medicae, soc sec, and all other social welfare programs].

Soc sec could be made solvent by transitioning to an "owned and separate accounts" and that would require the next two generations pay more to pay down the accumulated debt in soc sec.

The other programs esp Medicaid, welfare, unemployment should be transitioned over a five year period to some sort of universal lifetime benefit whose intent would be to replace Obamacare, medicaid, food stamps, college loan and Pell grants, etc. Today, we spend about $3,700 per adult per year for all these federal social welfare programs [and btw that number does NOT include soc sec or medicare!].

A hero has passed:

The United States Army is today mourning one of its most courageous and decorated heroes.
Sergeant 1st Class Kristoffer B. Domeij was one of three soldiers killed by a roadside bomb last Saturday near Kandahar Province.
Remarkably, the elite ranger, who died when the team triggered an improvised device, was serving his 14th deployment at the time.
In an extraordinary career, Sgt. Domeij was decorated a number of times - and crowning it will be the Purple Heart that military chiefs have confirmed he will be awarded posthumously.
The husband and father-of-two from San Diego will go down in U.S. Army history as one of the team who rescued rescued Private Jessica Lynch from her Iraqi captors in 2003.

Thank you, and Godspeed SFC Domeij.

Joke stolen from the internet

Sally Mullihan of Coral Springs , Florida decided to take one of the jobs that most Americans are not willing to do.

The woman applying for a job in a Florida lemon grove seemed to be far too qualified for the job.
She had a liberal arts degree from the University of Michigan and had worked as a social worker and school teacher.

The foreman frowned and said, “I have to ask you, have you had any actual experience in picking lemons?”
“Well, as a matter of fact, I have! I’ve been divorced three times, owned 2 Chryslers and voted for Obama.”

They say the fire is reflected in the leaves first.

Smoke dims the bright-orange flames into a reddish hue, mixed with a mocha of smoldering moss.

Beware the conflagration Steyn, possibly, sparks with satanic imagery on his book cover.

I shudder again.

It's important for me to note, although I am, yes indeed, literally judging this book by the cover, a picture is worth a 1000 words, and this picture more, and my opinion hasn't changed since the injustice of fivefeetofantiBuckly and the moral failure of someone to support the ffoaB and get paid by the legacy of WFB.
