He didn't pull out so much as the Republicans put their knees together.

The Catholic Church supports, and applauds, the political practice engaged by Donald Trump of "pulling out." They do not support the aborted practices employed by Mitch Daniels and Tim Pawlenty.

Thank you Donny boy. You need to focus on how you can give your billions to Newt/Perry.

Don't even mention, or give a penny, to Romney. He is the baddest boy in town.

We in the Committee to Re-elect love the GOP. We love Newt. We love Perry.

We despise, with passion to cover the entire solar system, Romney.

I think this primary will go down in history as the one that blurred the line between the absurd and the banal, between satire and seriousness, between jokery and credibility. And Trump is the epitome of all that.

That he was taken seriously by vast swathes of the Republican rubes does not speak well of them.

When everybody refuses to come to yor party, it's time to move it someplace else.

And that's only if GodZero isn't challenged and, having run out of successful Presidents, ends up trying to channel James Buchanan. If the Hildabeast runs, then it devolves into the Two Stooges.

PS Somebody gave Hatman a thesaurus while he was in the Atlanta lockup.

But, but, but...he's not Mitt! He is needed!

Yawn.

I never understood the republican fascination with the Donald. He's been a lifelong supporter of dems for decades. He's one of, if not the biggest contributor to Rahm Emmannuel's election for Chicago mayor. He employs Ari Emmannuel as an agent.

I always suspected Trump of being Agent Provocateur working under a False Flag to split the republican vote.

Which of the words in my comment were suggestive of a thesaurus?

I didn't realize I needed to talk down to the Althouse Comment Crew.

Jane Fonda.

And I doubt any on the right took him seriously. He's a game show host who made his fortune by being "too big to fail"

This sentence:

"I think this primary will go down in history as the one that blurred the line between the absurd and the banal, between satire and seriousness, between jokery and credibility"

Any first year English major could spot it.

I didn't realize I needed to talk down to the Althouse Comment Crew.

I don't think you realize how your sentence sounds to the rest of us.

That would be a fun thread: Edit this!

For all the poseurs like Andy out there, Trump has given you a valuable life lesson. He didn't like how the country was being governed, so he actually did something about it. He didn't sit back and snark about how stupid everyone was; he actively inserted himself into the process and tried to steer the conversation in a direction that he thought productive. The fact that he pulled out shows he has enough self-awareness to know that he would not win.

AP, would you like to play poker sometimes? You might have the worst poker face ever.

I've got a solution for Mitt. If he doesn't get the GOP nomination, he can just switch over and run on the Dem ticket. Either replace Barry or Joe Blow as VeeP. I swear Democrats love him a lot more than the average Republican does.
