Kim Jong-un "sat up all night, feeling painful after being told about the accident."

"A 23-story apartment building that may have housed more than 90 families collapsed in Pyongyang, the North Korean capital, last week..."
Earlier Sunday, the North’s official Korean Central News Agency reported that the accident occurred at an apartment construction site in the Pyongchon district of Pyongyang on Tuesday, blaming “sloppy building” and “irresponsible supervision and control.” It said there were “human casualties” but did not give figures.

I wonder how cadaver search dog translates into Korean?

A high-rise apartment block in the capital likely housed mid-level party apparatchiks and their families, very people Kim relies on to enforce discipline and subservience on the elite.

Baby Kim may have a many sleepless nights indeed.

In leftist peoples paradise that is North Korea, cadaver search dogs are best served with a spicier sweet and sour sauce.

You know, his grandfather invented a brilliant adjustable desk which has helped with the industrious learnings of the Glorious People's Future.

I refuse to believe this story.

Since exposing malfeasance in North Korea would likely lead to a quick trip to a labor/death camp for you and your family, its likely that quite a few high rises in Pyongyang are in danger of collapsing.

Next step - deciding on the fall guys.

Kim Jong Un agents in Chicago have been studying the American way, and he has blamed the collapse on a U-tube video that made fun of ancestors of a rogue employees of the Cincinnati office of the North Korean Ministry of Bribery For Construction Contracts.

Updated bulletin: What difference does it make now, say Kim.

I am more interested the Norkos would allow such unflattering news spread to the outside world. If they can't blame it on the U.S or South Korea, it's not worth reporting. Why now?

Stating the obvious, but that is what you get with a socialized economy. A paraphrased quip from the old Soviet Union - we pretended to work, and they pretended to pay us.

One basic problem in government controlled economies is that there is no real bottom line, until things fall completely apart. In this case, if the apartment building really did house mid-level party members and the like, there may be show trials. Or, not, depending on how important the people were who died. But, death is really the only negative consequence of skimming all you can get for yourself and your family and cronies. And, even there, if you are powerful enough, you can get away with a lot, even if some of the small people died. After all, in North Korea, a lot of the little people were already starving, and this probably allowed a couple more spoonfuls of food for everyone else - just another inevitable consequence of a government controlled economy.

Remember, man is inherently flawed, and that means here greedy and self-serving. Any political or economic organization that is designed based on any theory except that one, is designed for failure. If it assumes that man will feed the rest of the country, before he feeds himself and his family, it will ultimately result in the opposite - everyone starving.

You know for a guy who (a) had his ex girlfriend and her band machinegunned to death; and (b) had his uncle, now a political enemy, executed by dogs; and (c) had a third political opponent executed by flamethrower---it's hard to imagine him sitting up all night worrying about folks dead in an apartment building collapse.

So old Kim throws his relatives to the dogs (literally) to be torn to shreads, has his girlfriend shot, starves his nation, but somehow he is upset an apartment complex collapsed.

Yea, right.

Kim Jong-Un has invited Barack Obama to the disaster site, and has promised to hug him if he bows.

We also can be sure that no people with disabilities or mental defects died. They, and their families, are not allowed to live in nice cities like Pyongyang.

Kim was just trying to quell rumors that "apartment collapse" was another innovation in executions.

Didn't Mr. Kim purge a potential traitor by feeding him to hungry dogs? I figure the same dogs can clean up the disaster site, and Mr. Kim can deny that anyone died.

This on top of his giant veterans administration scandal.
Oh.
Wait.
Wrong dictator.

Sounds a bit like our own Dear Leader, who's mad as h e double hockey sticks at the VA scandal, according to his official news agency the MSM. Also reminds me of all the times O. brags that no one is more concerned than he is about[fill in the blank]. Concern answers all questions about competence.
