Forget the children's drawings on mommy's wedding dress...

... what about John Kerry's big floppy shorts, worn while kiteboarding... and while the world burns?

What a brilliant trick the Clintons pulled off in getting Obama to pick this clown as her replacement. Despite Hillary's mediocre performance as SoS, four years of this blow-dried popinjay will have her looking like a mandarin of diplomatic genius.

Can you believe some people once thought that the man behind this fashion sense should have been president?

John the world's most successful gigolo. Married two extremely wealthy women in a row. Those boxy shorts are hiding his best and only asset.

Michael Fitzgerald said...

He rode to the beach on a little girls pink bike, then exposed himself in garish shorts which read "Kick me" across the backside. Oh to think that the sorry 49% almost made this silly ass president.

When John Kerry's out in the surf, there's no Code Pink, no international coalitions, no Senate procedures, no terrorists on hold.

Jams shorts: Do Your Own Thing.

Michelle Dulak Thomson said...

Enh. I'm not surprised by the shorts, only by the skinny calves.

The man is a waste of skin. And I use the word man loosely.

He thinks this makes people think "Vigor!" Or Vigga! And some people probably do think that. Like "Reporting for duty!."

I laugh when I see cars still driving around with the "Kerry-Edwards" bumper sticker. I know immediately a silly person drives that car. And of course those are usually the cars with 25 other stickers advocating leftist/statist messages.

Halp us Jon Carry! We R stuk in Irak!

I'm just a gigolo and everywhere I go
People know the part, I'm playin'
Paid for every dance, sellin' each romance
Ooh, what they're sayin'

There will come a day, and youth will pass away
What'll they say about me?
When the end comes I know they'll say just a gigolo
And life goes on without me

I say off with his head! LOL, though the current world situation isn't very funny. Some of us warn you liberals and ignorant Dems that the Dems couldn't be trusted with our national defense.

America dodged a bullet in 2004 with Kerry's defeat, only to catch a full-auto blast to the head and gut with Obama's win in 2008 and 2012.

Put aside the fact that this guy is supposed to represent the United States of America, what MAN dresses like that?

rhhardin said...

It seems like an empty criticism to me.

He has actual drawbacks too.

I recall a pic of early Kerry flying a T-34, which means that he probably has some spare-time appreciation of coordination, and a lot of money for gasoline.

According to Facebook while undergoing a proctological exam, it was discovered that Hillary has a brain tumor.

I clicked on the SOS tag to find out what massive screw-up Kerry did to get the SOS tag and then I discovered that it's Secretary of State. But reading all the posts in the SOS tag and it's one screw up after another. So how did Althouse know that Secretary of State Kerry was going to be SOS Kerry before he actually did anything?

Lucien said...

So Kerry is to be criticized for not playing golf?

"While the world burns"? Just a little hyperbole there.

This dude has real courage. He knows that the sea level he stands on is arising fast, soon to be followed by horrible storms forming right now out of CO2 caused global cooling that was caused by clouds temporarily masking the CARBON caused extreme global warming temporarily hidden trapped under cold ocean waters.

That is Kerry Science...97% pure lies.

Nevertheless, our gallant hero surf fishes in face of the end of the world.

Hillary was SOS Hillary when she was First Lady. "Sniper attack! Sniper attack! Help!" She wanted to be SOS Hillary so bad! She was putting it on her resume. It was a huge frickin' lie.

I disagree with his politics and just about everything else ... but wearing gaudy swim trucks to the beach is pure Americana ... at least his is not displaying his true European sophistication by wearing a Speedo.

Here is Kerry claiming that climate change is the world's most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.

Kerry, and the man who appointed him, are unserious people and it is more obvious every day.

When the VBIED goes off on 9/11, we'll see how they react.

Most of the T-34s (T-34As for the Air Force and T-34Bs for the Navy) in private hands were powered by 225 HP Lycoming 0-470 engines. They likely burn about 12 gallons per hour of fuel. Some have been upgraded with 310 HP engines so their burn rate would be around 16 GPH at cruise. The turboprop T-34Cs burn considerably more fuel but I don't know of too many of them being in private hands.

The T-34 is one of the cheapest warbirds to own and operate. It's a fun plane.

Endless variations of fiddling while Rome burns. If its not fiddling it's playing Golf or fishing, or going to a fund raiser. or high fiving.

Now, as bad as all of this is, lets not forget that if this was Rand Paul and the libertarians this would be the norm every day.

jr565 said...

There is a correct policy on how to deal with ISIL. And that is militarily. If it requires nation building, boots on the ground, bombing, letting loose the dogs of war, covert ops or what have you, then so be it.
The issue is, how reluctant the president will be do take the necessary steps. IN the case of Obama, he is so bound by ideology that he has to keep getting dragged into doing the right thing by events. But he always does it too late, or takes half steps.
We need a president who has no qualms about exerting military power on these thugs. And the libertarians aint those people.
They'd be even worse than Obama on dealing with ISIL.

Though I note, even Rand Paul is coming around slightly on the need to deal with ISIL. I'm wondering how many more journalists being decapitated it will take him to get his head out of his ass.

But hes not the president. Obama is.

jr565 said...

As far as getting a coalition we shouldn't need one to act when it comes to groups like ISIL. But even if Obama and the liberals and libertarians are waiting for a coalition, it's not going to be hard to get one.

Kerry's a massive douchewad but, like the bike, the shorts bespeak an indifference to the niggling opinions of others that's totally appropiate for a mature man.

Made me think of an old playboy cartoon where some young maidens were being burned at the stake as a sacrifice to celebrate a king's birthday and one of the maidens was singing happy birthday to him.

Remember that Obama picked Kerry and HRC. Both are proven incompetents. Obama just has a better fashion sense that those 2 clowns.

Beldar said...

Nicely metaphoric: John Kerry, dragged through the world by forces he but dimly perceives or understands, over which he exercises only an illusion of control, floating helplessly and unhelpfully, accomplishing nothing but the making of an embarrassing scene.

Ideology
noun, plural ideologies.

1. the body of doctrine, myth, belief, etc., that guides an individual, social movement, institution, class, or large group.

2. such a body of doctrine, myth, etc., with reference to some political and social plan, as that of fascism, along with the devices for putting it into operation.

Obama, he is so bound by ideology

Other than his need for power, what is his ideology?

I keep thinking of the French in 1940. Was it Marx or Lenin who said, "History repeats itself; first as tragedy than as farce."

He however sucks. A big red donkey dick.

What difference does it make if Lurch is the Secretary of State when his boss is Bozo The Clown? What would an intelligent and competent secretary be able to do that JFK isn't doing when the boss is who he is?

This habit of referring to Secretary of State John F. Kerry as Lurch is outrageous and must stop. It's totally unfair -- to Lurch.

@ Quaestor (9/3/14, 7:05 PM): I used to refer to John Kerry as "Treebeard" until I suddenly realized how cruelly unfair that comparison was — to the centuries-old treants of Middle Earth.
