"Campaigns erupt over greenrooms at third GOP debate."

"Trump was granted a spacious room, complete with plush chairs and a flat-screen TV. Marco Rubio got a theater-type room, packed with leather seats for him and his team of aides. Carly Fiorina’s room had a Jacuzzi."
Then there was Chris Christie, whose small space was dominated by a toilet... “This is ridiculous,” fumed Christie’s campaign manager, Ken McKay. “We’re in a restroom.”

Were they trying to make Christie comfortable by replicating Northern New Jersey?

This won't be a real debate.

This will be a glimpse into the corrupt Democrat Media Industrial Complex and how they frame it all as a joke/circus/ negative...

I see the GOP once again has allowed pro-democrat hacks to ask the debate questions.

Are they supposed to build 10 identical greenrooms? If Christie wants better accommodations, then he needs to check into a nearby hotel. Or get better poll numbers.

Seems like this is an attempt to make certain candidates and their campaign staff seem like a bunch of silly, unreasonable primadonnas.

I, for one, look forward to the question all America is waiting to hear answered, but which will not be asked nor answered tonight: "In your opinion, what is the worst thing Hillary Clinton has done in her long career, and how will you use it to win the election against her?"

Now THAT would be a question worth asking all GOP candidates.

But again, it won't be asked, nor answered, so Hill has that going for her, the lying, corrupt, amoral winner that she is!

This is Kremlinology redux.

They used to use things like that - what position someone stood in, or the number of nominatins each person got for the Supreme Soviet or something like that, to determine how people ranked. (The Kremlin got annoyed at this actually)

If you didn't know how the candidates were ranked by the polls, as interprted by the RNC, you could use this.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kremlinology

In popular culture, the term is sometimes used to mean any attempt to understand a secretive organization or process, such as plans for upcoming products or events, by interpreting indirect clues

"erupt"

This is the word selection we get from the pro-democrat hacks.

Fat jokes about the toilet stalls being too narrow would be appropriate.

If Christie comes in late, then he got stuck in one.

His stall was too small for his Super PAC ass.

The stall has a warning sign that says, " Flush hard, its a long way to the MSNBC Anchor Desk."

One thing I'll say for the GOP debates is they're interesting--between the Trump theatrics and the rest of several candidates jockeying for a bit of spotlight in a pretty evenly-divided and fluid race, there's plenty of opportunity for amusement as well as getting a variety of styles and policies. We're actually seeing an intraparty struggle front and center, even if the questions can be inane.

No one should even bother to cover the Democratic debates or primaries. The minute Sanders made it clear he is not going to challenge Hillary, it signalled that there simply is no race, there is no intraparty struggle, and there is no democracy within the Democratic party. They chose a coronation this year and we should not go through the phony steps of giving a single crap.

A Jacuzzi? WTF?

And it is weird that they are treating Christy like this after he gave Obama such a nice hug.

Perhaps Christie needs better campaign staffers...

Did Carson's greenroom come standard with a good selection of fine cutlery?

Did Hillary dodge sniper fire in her green room?

I can't wait for the important and poignant questions like, why will you ban all contraceptives? Why do you hate women? Is your opposition to Obama because you're racist, or because you're anti immigrant and he clearly loves all peoples of the world?

I hope Trump holds up his middle finger as a response to one of the dumber questions.

Fun watching Berners extolling the email quote as merely free stuff for Vagina. Neat-o.

I guess if Will has wrapped up this thread, I won't mention Christie's career is in the crapper.

Christie, whose campaign is in the crapper, is mad they also literally put his campaign in one.

Beldar said...

Complaining about such things in public simply reinforces the effect of the insult on public opinion, not at all to Christie's advantage. His campaign manager should have buttoned his or her lip and let the candidate do the talking on the stage.

Christie's campaign is in the shitter, so it's perfectly appropriate.

Look, I can understand why Christie would play up to Obama after Hurricane Sandy, in exchange for Obama's pledge to "not tolerate any red tape" in getting Jerseyites and New Yawkers back on their feet. But my understanding is that once Obama made the pledge, he forgot all about it and the level of red tape was as bad as ever. If true -- and perhaps some Jerseyite reading my comment can respond -- then it was up to Christie to call Obama on the broken pledge. He didn't. Romney lost. And now it's Christie's turn to lose.

One of my friends whose house was destroyed by Sandy received payment last week. I mean literally last week, and yes I know what literally means. If he had not paid for his own lawyer to fight for the money, he'd probably never have received it.

Ted Cruz asked fro federal money when Texas has a natural disaster; same with the pubes in SC and Oklahoma.

Face it-if there is some sort of emergency in their own state they have no problem taking federal money.

Lol. So are the corpulent motherfucker's poll numbers.

GOP accommodations should be like GOP policies. The richest guy gets the best available.

The Democrat accommodations should be like democrat policies. The corrupt ones who serve donors get nice space and the poor ones and minorities get to shovel the poop.
