You guys have an REI membership?

"You guys have an REI membership?"

Sure. It's not like it's an exclusive club. Plus, bandannas on sale for 99 cents.

" It's not like it's an exclusive club."

Apparently not. They've had me as a member since 1975.

That is a very weird image.

You can buy THESE at REI but if you buy them HERE, through the Ann Althouse Amazon portal ☛☛☛☛☛,
you'll be supporting the Althouse blog at no additional cost to yourself. A winter win-win. Thanks, in advance!

Hey, garage, k*thy, and other Madisonians - grab your skates and meet us out on the lake!

I'll be fishing off Lake St down by the Union on Saturday Meade. Skate over!

You can get a fisheye lens, but you are going to have to get a different camera.

It looks as if you are choking a goggle-wearer with one hand and photographing it with the other.

Didn't AA go on a fisheye rampage a year or two ago? What happned to that lens?

There have been a bunch of posts and comments today, sio I may have missed the birthday celebration for DBQ.

Anyone seen her today?

How many days to go Professor? We need to be reminded.

Meade -- I have an inexpensive pair of Yaktrax. Love them. Got my husband a more heavy duty pair, but he can't seem to get into wearing them. (Heh. Wait til he slides down the bank.)

I have a slight incline in the pasture going down to the horse shed and they have saved my fanny when it is snowy or muddy. (Which it is right now.) Love them.

Looks like the fisheyes are looking back

That pic reminds me of the movie "The Fly". But Meade could not possibly have been using a molecule transporter before you met him. But he does seem to love your sugar.

Longtime readers may know I have a fisheye lens for my SLR digital camera but my love of convex reflective surfaces, like these goggles, predates the lens. There was a convex mirror in Austin that started it all for me, made me buy the lens, and even though I have the lens, I am still always looking for the fisheye effect. I love finding the fisheye.
