I better stop saying anything on Althouse. Love the blog, Ann, but man, am I spending way too much time reading all the great posts and comments. I need to get some of my work done. I'll check in next week. Maybe. I'm weak. I'll probably check in sooner. Must. Stop. Reading. Blogs. For. Now.

It's Congress--pond scum.

In other news World's Greatest Orator is late for his own press conference. Again.

World's Latest Orator.

Beautiful. On a superficial note, that would make a great print on a silk dress or scarf.

That water looks evil and freaky.

That swirling water that you hear, is actually your investments going down the drain of your toilet.

Now that's a cool photo. Love the design it's made and the contrast in the colors.

It is gratifying to see economic theories work out, even if they correctly predict disaster.

Foam? Fishies? Or Algae?

Yeah. Beautifully caught in the camera's eye.

Treasuries are up, if interest rates are down as reported.

It seems to be a speculation not on default but on how much damage Obama can do in his remaining term, and to what.

Chiefly the private sector.

Looks like a fingerprint.

If Treasuries are up, I bet the Fed Bank is buying them up.

Unlike a sponge, though, that can sponge up a liquid mess ... This is throwing a brick on top ... Hoping you can splatter to the ceiling ... the problems you've got flooding your ground.

Where the marketplace also has empty parking lots.

Maybe? Maybe, the customers still go to Disney. But I believe "different." I think Disney boosted its price ... because the only number they want to meet is at the bottom line.

And, oddly enough, I keep thinking Obama can continue looking like a loser ... and he'll capture enough votes from people who feel like losers. Because Boehner dresses too well. Just like Thomas E. Dewey.

(I have a lawyer friend ... who sometimes comes here. So, maybe, he'll recognize what he said ... when I asked him about well-dressed lawyers.) He said the great ones "damage" their fine suits. They either pull a fabric string to hang out. Or they remove a button. Because then the jury gives their arguments more sympathy.

What happens if obama wins on 2012? (It won't be with my vote!) I'm just asking a question ... of what people will do ... who think if they spit hard enough, now, against obama ... they don't have to worry about the well dressed Boehner at all.

You know the threat to secede isn't a winning card, don't cha?

Alright....

My new book, How Long? The Trek Through the Wilderness is now out on Kindle.

I used Althouse's amazon code for the link above, so if you buy it you'll support both of us.

So, Yenta Carol, how did they get rid of you at Belmont Club?

BTW do you prefer "Yenta Carol" or "Glossolalia Herman?"

Carol_Herman said...

The yenta says, Nichevo, that you're definitely a putz. Yours isn't long enough for you to be called a schmuck.

Can't you get a day job, somewhere?

I give up; what is that crud? Meade, you're the expert on things botanical. It's not the kind of pond scum I'm used to seeing, which is mostly green.

rhhardin said...

Treasuries closed up as indicated by the yield being down.

It's definitely an Obama damage to the economy panic, not a Treasury default panic.

Anybody who bought long term Treasuries before they were downgraded now has a profit.

DADvocate said...

I give up; what is that crud?

Just making an educated guess, but it could be pollen fallen from nearby trees or foam build up from something in the water agitated by a small waterfall, rapid or fountain.

Bloody hell, WTF is going on in London?

Nichevo said...

Indeed, WTF in England? Does anyone know what this is about, who is doing it, why?
