Really weird seaweed.

Here. Presented to Reddit for identification:
Yes! This is my time to shine: I know what this is. Your seaweed is carrying a colony of Botryllus schlosseri, a small tunicate that lives in colder waters.

I had a feeling a random redditor would know what this seaweed was.

When everyone in the world is in a room together, all known answers to all solved questions can be given without pause.
That's beautiful, man.

I've had a shirt with that pattern in the 70's.

Even cooler photo here

Note how easy it is to skip opportunity cost, the bias of action over inaction. Let's say it takes 1 minute to read and anser. Then in the hypothetical over 6 billion human-minutes are wasted without a thought given to it, roughly 11.5 thousand years.

But then one guy cuts the cheese and it's WWIII.

Yes, but does it come in yellow, too?

While it can be that true that "all known answers to all solved questions can be given without pause", the real pitfall of Reddit is what's been termed "Hiveminding". Specifically it's kind of like a path of least resistance when discussing more subjective/interpretive topics, the hivemind will coalesce on the most agreeable answers and efficiently suppress any dissidence through the voting process.

Paladorian thinking doesn't require them to be in the same room.

If we got everyone in a room together, there would be only one toilet. With 2 women in it.

Sorry, the visual was funnier in my head.

No, kidding. See /r/politics for the hivemind at work. No independent thought allowed.

/r/insects/ is pretty helpful if you want to identify an insect.
