Thanks...

... to everyone who made purchases through my Amazon portal in the month of October.

(The link is always there in the subtitle line of the banner at the top of the page.)

I just want to make sure that everyone here knows that Amazon portal spelled backwards is latrop nozama.

Latrop nozama sounds more like words than esuohta nna. At least English type words. The first sounds sort of Latin and the second more like one of the tonal languages.

Thanks Llehctim now I'm going to be sounding out words backwards all day. It's almost as bad as an ear worm, which, by the way, is Bernadette for me today. I have Sirius XM 60's on 6 to thank for that.

Well, as long as you are set, money-wise, that's all that counts.

I bet it's nice to be insulated from the effects of your votes.

"Latrop nozama"

Sounds like a Spanish hooker or something Pancho said to Cisco.

The Holidays are coming. I've been purchasing something every few days. I try to make the rounds between here, Insty, and many others. Its the easiest way to say thanks, and it costs nothing extra to me. I do hope others do the same.

You know,--- sometimes you can keep it to yourself.
Althouse has as many or more followers as Townhall, HuffPo and some of the other sites with many more people running them. She provides a service. Thanking her is the least we can do.

I sound like a nag, but really, I get tired of people who take advantage of a service and then spend their time griping about it. You don't have to like what she does or use it. Even if you disagree with her and think she's taking advantage of people you're consuming her product. Don't pay if you don't want to, but have the grace to be quiet about it or quit using it.

She (ridiculously) voted for Obama and so helped inflict that disaster on America.

Spare me your moralizing.

I think she's gotten quite enough enumeration from the Big Edu gravy train. No need to feel sorry for her.

I think you mean remuneration.

yes. UW-Madison grad. What can I say?

SomeoneHasToSayIt, do you watch any movies? Do you listen to any music? If you do, the money usually goes back to people who voted for Obama.

I like reading this blog better than I like watching most movies or listening to just about any sort of music.

Monetary support is for the enjoyment of the writing. It's not a payoff for a "proper" vote.

I am in Canada so shop through Amazon.ca and therefore don't think I can say thanks in this way. In lieu of that I'd like to tell Ann that in addition to my appreciation of her intelligence and status as my favourite pleasant provocateur and Repubindependican, I think she is very pretty and has great hair. :)

I'll make a point of using the portal next time. I'm grateful for this blog, which I only found a couple years ago; it's a lodestar of critical thinking, and its commenters are the sharpest on the Internet. The photos of dogs don't hurt, either.

I figure Insty gets enough traffic that the Amazon link gets used fairly often.

I’ve enjoy the salon atmosphere provided since Ann started and don’t have much left over to tip with, but now whenever I get ANYTHING through Amazon, it’s through her link (including the new Kindle Fire I bought last week). It doesn’t cost me anything extra and I think it’s great to gift the hostess for providing a locale in which nearly all can discuss the issues and non-issues of the day.

Each individual honeybee may only contribute 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey during the course of its life. It’s all the bees working together that generate 100 lbs of honey per year. I don’t mind droning on for our bloggerQueen bee (no, not you Titus).

I would hope that each of us contributes a little through our normal purchases. It helps give back to the virtual community to which we find ourselves belonging and keeps the Queen from going to work in the public sector….. oh, right. -CP
