I especially like the bottom picture. To me, offhand, Edward Manners looks like he is cogitating about something important in a way that suggests a desire for or expects human collaboration.

He's looking up and thinking, "what is this strange ape-creature that walks on 2 legs"?

Went to the Red Sox victory parade today in downtown Boston.

A perfect day. T-shirt weather. Blue skies.

Thousands of happy people. A true healing after the events of April here.

"A true healing after the events of April here."

So the missing limbs grew back and the dead rose from the grave?

Some healing is easier than other.

Another video from NYMag (I thought they Obama friends)..

Fainting woman was staged?. In fact Obama turns around before she falls back as if he was anticipating it. Did they rehearse this thing in the Oval office? Pathetic if it was all staged.

It would be ridiculous to try to pull off a staging.

The reactions of others are just reactions to the slow unfolding of the problem and wondering what should be done, what Obama will do.

That is just an incredible dog expression.

One conspiracy after another, yet no one mentions the LAX shooter, why?

David, how unkind. I'm glad St.George and thousands of Bostonians enjoyed the much-needed celebration that he described. I'm sorry that you are going through painful grief, as are others, but you wouldn't deny a healing event to those who can benefit from it, surely?

And back on the topic of the dog's photo, I love his wise eyes. I appreciate these doggie features, Meade and Althouse - they always soften me up, take the edge off, when I didn't know I had an edge on!
