It's Ted Cruz, always twirling, twirling for freedom.

ADDED: This is nicely humanizing, like Bill Clinton playing the sax on Arsenio or Nixon doing "Sock it to me" on "Laugh-In."

This is the exact opposite of what I thought it was going to be.

Nice. He needs to do more of this so that, when he's appointed to SCOTUS by President Rubio-Walker, he'll have something to top that 'wise Latina' bit by the prior appointee.

Nerd on the Internet piping up to clarify that the quote is towards freedom, not for.

Also, I really wanted to say something last week that I was sure was going to be misinterpreted, but since it's from the same episode, here goes:

"Hmm...Gay Marriages for some, miniature Confederate flags for others!"

Cruz is not a natural born Citizen. He was born in CANADA of a US Citizen mother and Cuban citizen father, and has admitted to having Canadian citizenship until only recently. This is what the State Department would say about his candidacy:

"7 FAM 1131.6-2 Eligibility for Presidency
(TL:CON-68; 04-01-1998)
a. It has never been determined definitively by a court whether a person who
acquired U.S. citizenship by birth abroad to U.S. citizens is a natural-born
citizen within the meaning of Article II of the Constitution and, therefore,
eligible for the Presidency.
b. Section 1, Article II, of the Constitution states, in relevant part that “No Person
except a natural born Citizen...shall be eligible for the Office of President.”
c. The Constitution does not define "natural born". The “Act to establish an
Uniform Rule of Naturalization”, enacted March 26, 1790, (1 Stat. 103,104)
provided that, “...the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born
... out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born
citizens: Provided that the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons
whose fathers have never been resident in the United States.”
d. This statute is no longer operative, however, and its formula is not included in
modern nationality statutes. In any event, the fact that someone is a natural
born citizen pursuant to a statute does not necessarily imply that he or she is
such a citizen for Constitutional purposes".

The State Department SAYS that he may not be eligible, as well as those others made "natural born citizens by statute" (i.e "Citizens at birth"). It is trying to change the word "natural born citizen", just as the SCOTUS redefined the word "state run exchanges", "marriage" , and "legislature" in three Orwellian holdings just this week.

If you think it is an accident that 3 "R Team" candidates are not eligible (Rubio, Cruz and Jindal),then you are not thinking.

Yeah Republicans, how is that super majority in both houses working out for you? They just gave Obama authority to sell our sovereignty down the river in TPP while it was covered up by another "lone gunman" false flag. The "R Team was so cowardly that it didn't even show up for the signing ceremony. They have not stopped ANYTHING, and neither has the Judiciary. NO ONE is going to "save" you when the fangs come out. The only thing that will "save" us is hanging them from the lamp posts (maybe that's a little "uncivil" for the "law prof"-- but nevertheless that is what's coming to America).

There is no such thing as a "natural born Citizen by statute". One is only natural born by NATURE--- thus the term. There is also no such thing as "gay marriage" as it is also against the law of nature. "Gay marriage" is an attack on our fundamental structure of order. It is part of the Cloward Piven destruction that the Usurper is overseeing at the behest of the NWO. They are attacking the rules of nature that bind us together. They have feminized the military and the family. They have overrun our borders and attacked our religion. They have attacked our fundamental law of nature right of self defense. It is right before your eyes, yet cognitive dissonance prevents you from seeing the true threat to our society that is the political, academic, and media class.

The fangs will come out soon enough.

This is what the "law prof" should be talking about. Instead she embraces "war is peace" and "ignorance is strength", writing post after post of mindless pap in the guise of being "academic" (OOH I'm soooo smart).

She is assisting, as all of the Ivory Tower "academics" (educated idiots)are, in the destruction of the Republic. Whether it is conscious or not.

Love the Nixon clip -- oddly self-aware.

Cruz is a great addition to and influence on the GOP lineup. I think it is very unlikely that he will be elected, and there's nothing in the Constitution about who can *run* for president.

Hope Richard Dolan is right (although Walker/Rubio is the better pairing) -- Cruz would be an amazing and long-lived Supreme Court justice.

You may not like him now, but you will.

The Republicans have a good lineup. Who will be the nominee I don't know but most if not all of them would good to great cabinet officers. I can see Cruz as AG and doing a great job of cleaning out the leftist trash out of the DoJ.
