Peak allium!

P1130732

To my eye, it's the height of the gardens of Meadhouse. There's much more to come, but what a show, these big purple globes!

I only have a few. I need to plant more.

Hey Ann, the internet is buzzing about a fashion much worse than men in shorts.

Mine don't bloom until August.

You know, I've seen that, and people keep nudging me to react, but it's so begging-for-reaction that I'm in the zone that I learned from my mother, who said: They're just trying to get your attention. And: Ignore them.

It's clickbait. I don't jump.

I like allium, but in the ball-of-purple-flowers category, Agapanthus has my heart.

Probably true. I just don't get how they got so much $ via crowdfunding. Enough people thought it was a good idea? Or were they all just saying "ha, goofy, that's worth a few bucks"?

I don't understand alliums and tulips in the same week. How does that happen in Madison?

A few months ago, N. Korea fired a barrage of four test missiles that landed within Japan's 200 mile economic exclusion zone. More recently, N. Korea fired a test missile that landed within 60 miles of the Russian coast.

Hypothetical: What would the reaction of the U.S. government be if...N. Korea fired a test missile that landed 60 miles west of Kauai, the westernmost major Hawaiian island? What if the missile landed halfway between Kauai and Oahu (they are 108 miles apart? Or what if the test missile landed 60 miles off of Seattle?

I think a lot of this Trump impeachment talk would go away right quick.

Cinderella story. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper, now, about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac... It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Beautiful. But I can't imagine how much water those towering flowers need. Maybe never enough, judging by the leaves. Still, the stems look mighty strong.

I don't understand the May blooming in Wisconsin either--perhaps it's an ornamental just for that purpose. In North Carolina our Siberian garlic shows no sign of bloom at all, though the regular garlic is just now sending up scapes.

Despite the overlap of Althouse Readers and Laslo Film Aficionados seeming to be rather marginal, Laslo Films has a new short ready for The World.

Stripper In The Trunk!

Yes, there is a stripper in the trunk. It's actually kind of poignant.

And there are bologna sandwiches.

Adult-rated, of course.

Not that the bologna sandwiches are adult-rated: I didn't go THAT far.

Yet.

I am Laslo.

With a missing E string,
(a missing E string)
On my mandolin.

I still sound better,
('Still sound better)
Than talk of hatin'.

'Still got one E string,
Man: I sure forgive you,
As any E fan can see.

Double duty as they say,
That one little E string,
No help.

All Hell to say.

That's why we play,
The one E-ed mandolin.

There's that step beyond a birth defect, where you have to add the adjective "flaming".

Ann Barnhardt hasn't experienced any chaos, not one iota, from whatever timeframe your last chaos coahlessed.

There is no 80/20 in these matters. Like the hip hop band played: "all or nothing, it's got to be."

Sure wish folks woulda hated in that bunch of good folks.

Reminds me: that white fuck who killed blacks in church to start a race war: you succeeded as Liz Warren and for that we all appreciate and salute your killing industriousness.

What I applaud, in addition only because I am a good guy, your direct confirmation black suffering is real and often discounted, because alone, it is so similar and hence exploitable otherwise it would be not as valuable as universal suffrage, example toot corp.

Ann, you seem a lot more free and balanced since you've retired. You sure they can't take away your pension for not toeing the party line?

We need more of those in our garden, but the peak here is when the peonies bloom, and they are about 2 weeks behind this year.

OPEC is now irrelevant.
Thank you fracking and the American petroleum industry.

How will this impact the balance of power in the middle east?
